.I purchased a 180mm/150mm reducer. It has arrived quickly and is well made. However I made the point that the 180mm was the diameter of a spigot that the reducer needed to fit over. The reducer's external diameter is actually 175mm, i.e. it is designed to fit inside a 180mm duct. To use it I have taped it in position with parcel tape and wait to see how often it breaks. I really need a 185mm/150mm reducer. Your staff should understand the difference and be clear what the dimensions refer to.

Good Morning Peter. Thank you for your review. My colleague sent you a quote which provided all the information regarding which product was being ordered, this product you then went onto ordering, which was in fact a 180mm to 125mm concentric reducer. A reducer has a male end that is designed to slot inside spiral ducting, i.e. spiral would have an I.D. of 180mm, so the reducer is designed to fit inside and will have an approximate O.D. of 178mm. All product information including data sheets is provided on our website. It was not specified on the phone call what size the part needed to go onto. Unfortunately, we can only quote from the information provided to us. If you required a 185mm to 150mm reducer, this would be a bespoke product made to order, and we would require an email with a sketch in order to have this quoted for you. If your 180mm to 125mm reducer is required to fit onto another fitting sized 180/125, as opposed to a length of pipe, then you would need a female connection piece. I can see we have now helped you to resolve this query, and my colleague has offered to send over a quote for the female connection piece you require to allow the connection of the reducer to your extraction unit. I am aware you received all the product information via email, with the product and data sheet link attached. The product supplied was suitable for 400mm ductwork, as requested. Our technical team correctly informed you that the 300 x 200 access door is a size we no longer supply, but our alternative is also suitable for 400mm ductwork we offered the 400mm x 300mm to suit 400mm diameter. Unfortunately, your customer was not happy to cut their hole size larger to suit the access door and we were not informed your duct hole size had been pre-cut. We can only advise from the information provided to us and the information we received reflected our technical information provided to you. Unfortunately, we can only advise from the information you gave us, and we were only informed you required ducting for a heater, but it was not specified as a diesel heater. We did question if it was just air that was going through the system and confirmed what temperatures the flexible ducting ordered is suitable for. We can see from the images provided afterwards; the flexible ducting is not suitable for the application. We do request on any estimates sent, that you ensure all items are correct, and we do have datasheets readily available on our website for you to read over, to ensure the product is suitable for the application required. We do offer refunds and are able to offer a refund for the other products on your order, but unfortunately, we cannot accept the product that has been damaged back. This is advised on our returns policy listed on our website. When the parts arrived unfortunately there was minor damage to the ductwork caused by the courier company but ducting express offered to replace these. All parts were good quality, fitted together well and the administration by Staff was quick and very efficient.

Totally unacceptable delivery service and customer care following complaint regarding delivery. I will never use, or recommend, this company again. How you can justify charging £25.80 for delivery that is delivered to the wrong address and has to be collected by the customer. Ducting Express do not see this is an issue and offer no reimbursement of delivery costs!

Good morning Sean. Thank you for your review, we are sorry that you have had this experience with us. I’ve had a look into your order and can see that this was originally placed with us in the evening of 13th January 2025. This was then dispatched on 15th January via DPD and DX. Your order with DPD was delivered directly to yourself on 16th January, whereas your order via DX was delivered to an address 2 miles away on 17th January. We were not aware of your order being delivered to the incorrect address until you contacted us on 20th January, at this point you had already collected the package from the nearby address as you were contacted by the resident who signed for the delivery. If we were notified by yourself that your order had been delivered incorrectly, we would’ve then arranged for this to be collected and redelivered directly to you. But unfortunately, we weren’t given the opportunity to resolve this. I'm sorry that we did not meet your expectations and that you felt we were not able to provide the level of service required, and that you are dissatisfied that we are unable to offer any reimbursement of delivery costs. We are sorry to hear you are not pleased with our service. I have taken a look into your recent order and can see it was delivered within our delivery timescales displayed on our website. The order was placed on the 11th of November and delivered on our van 4 days later on the 15th of November. Our standard delivery period is between 5-7 working days.
