Galvanized steel spark trap 180mm diameter
Inline spark traps are designed to reduce the risk of sparks passing through a duct but is not a guaranteed control measure.
Passive spark traps, also known as spark arrestors, should be installed as one part of a full protection system and do NOT replace the need for other safety equipment.
These work on the principle of disrupting the airflow, allowing sparks to cool before exiting the spark trap.
Simple regular inspections are required to ensure there is no debris within the spark trap and these must be installed in a horizontal position at least ten diameters from the extraction unit.
Working velocity is between 9 meters per second to 25 meters per second.
Pressure resistance can vary between 200 pascals to 400 pascals @ 15 M/S.
