Wire Rope Tensioner M8 (Galvanised)
Galvanised wire rope tighteners are used to create tension through a length of wire rope creating a taught effect, whilst preventing any twisting. It is important to ensure your wire rope doesn’t become twisted as this can have a negative impact on it’s tensile strength.
Cable tensioners, otherwise known as a wire rope turnbuckle are simple to operate with a left thread one end and a right thread the other. To use, you simply turn the middle section, in order to turn the ends in opposite directions, which will pull the wire rope and create tension. Due to the opposite threads at either end, it will reduce the risk of twisting, it is important to ensure your wire rope doesn’t become twisted as this can have a negative impact on it’s tensile strength.
You will also find that our turnbuckle tensioners have a hook on one end and an eye on the other to thread and hook the wire rope to secure.
