CNC Twin Bin Extraction System

 CNC Dust Extraction System

CNC Twin Bin Dust Extraction System to collect wood dust within college woodworking department.

Ducting Express were contacted by a College to quote for a dust extraction system to remove wood dust created by a new CNC router machine within their joinery department.

The customer had some existing dust extraction however, their current system was not suitable to collect the additional waste created by the new machine which they needed to start running as soon as possible.

Following the initial enquiry our wood waste extraction design engineer visited the customer to discuss the options available to them and to take details to enable us to provide a quotation.

Working closely with the customer we were then able to provide a quotation for a proposed new dust extraction system. The system would comprise of a DE40M dust extraction unit which would be positioned outside of the building in a restricted access area. From the dust filter unit, galvanised steel duct work will be installed. This dust extraction ducting would then pass through the external wall and run below a mezzanine floor for approximately 15 meters. The final connection to the CNC router was to be using heavy duty polyurethane flexible ducting.

The Dust Extraction Unit Installation

After a final design of the industrial dust extractor was agreed by the customer and our design engineer we arrange a date for the installation.

Our skilled installation engineers then visited the site to fit the ATEX compliant 11kW mechanical shaker type fine dust filter unit with 11Kw main fan and a 0.25 Kw shaker motor. The dust extraction unit has two 82L waste collection bins with bin balance, also known as a twin bin. This allows for the use of plastic collection bags in the bins for easy disposal.
