Nordfab ducting is sometimes called Quick-Fit® ducting because it is quick to install, saving downtime by reducing installation times. It can be used on new & existing ducting systems.

How does it work?

Nordfab QF ducting is a clip-together system. Each section of ducting has a rolled-edge that can be joined to another with a clip that has an air-tight gasket inside. This means that systems can be clipped together simply & quickly and then unclipped in order for them to be removed and cleaned.

Because they clip-together, the ducting aligns perfectly. This means that there is minimal pressure loss.

What are the benefits of Nordfab ducting?

Nordfab ducting has a number of benefits over other types of ducting. These include:

  • It’s easy to install – Nordfab ducting can be simply clipped together. The component parts have a rolled edge which means that it can be clipped with a barrel clamp. Nordfab’s clamps have a gasket inside them. This seals the joint tightly preventing leaks. In addition, no special tools are required & the ducting does not need painting
  • It can be installed quickly – as no screws, rivets or welding are needed, installation takes typically half that of a more traditional ducting installation
  • It fits most systems –  Nordfab’s ducting has been used in most industries where industrial air cleaning or process ventilation systems are required
  • It can be reused – if you’re moving facilities and relocating your machinery, your ducting can be unclipped and removed too. It can be taken down without risk of damage, saving money
  • It’s available in a range of different materials – Nordfab ducting is available in galvanised steel, stainless steel & mild steel as well as more durable, heavier-walled ducting
  • It’s easy to clean – because it’s simple to install, it’s also easy to remove in order to clean.
  • It’s unlikely to leak – in addition to the gaskets inside the clamps that seal the ducting, the seams of Nordfab’s ducting are plasma welded. This means that they have smoother internal surfaces & their leak resistance is greatly enhanced when compared to other types of ducting

How do I use Norfab QF Ducting?

Just clip it together!

It really is as simple as that.

Nordfab’s delivery will come with a packing list to enable you to reconcile what you have with your installation. Ensure that you understand the layout of your system. Then lay out the system on the floor beneath where you intend to install it which will ensure you have the correct parts and layout before beginning. Determine where & how you will support your ducting (Nordfab has a range of hangers), pre-stretch the Nordfab QF clips to make them easier to close, connect as much as possible on the ground (it may make sense to assemble two or three pieces together before lifting them into place). To complete the installation, you will need to install cotter pins on the hole through the clip in order that the clip cannot come open unexpectedly.
